Rare City manual found

A copy of "Manual of the Common Council of New York" has recently surfaced in rural Alabama. Mrs. Wendy S Sherker has recently revealed her discovery of the historic volume. Published in 1836, it has been hidden unseen in a secretary cabinet belonging to her for many years. Mrs.

The question of race; perspective from the deep south

I live just outside of Montgomery, Alabama. For those who are not familiar with the city, let me explain its duality. It is the home of the first White House of the confederacy, as well as the Dexter Avenue Church, where Dr. Martin Luther King once preached.
